Welcome to the Media Scoring & Production program at the Frost School of Music!

We are proud to have made the Hollywood Reporter’s Top 25 Music Schools for Film and TV every year for the last five years. This is in no small part due to not only our distinguished and EMMY awarded faculty, but also our guest lecturers, who are internationally recognized film and game composers, record producers, and musical artists. We also provide a rigorous curriculum that prepares both Undergraduate and Graduate students to be employable in the music and media industries upon graduation, all while surrounded by a community that supports peer learning and collaboration across schools, departments, and programs.

In this specialized program, successful students complete diverse media scoring and production projects, develop technical and practical skills in the recording studio, and acquire an understanding of the music industry, all while allowing the freedom and flexibility for a student to focus on their preferred areas of emphasis, with outcomes that lead toward a viable career - of their choosing.
